The proposed plans show the towns enjoying improved access to and from Salzburg city and international airport as well as new winter sport facilities. Turkish Government give Dalaman in Turkey expansion go-ahead

The Turkish government have given the go-ahead for a large expansion of Dalaman. This is a 5 year development project and once completed Dalaman will be one of the major tourist towns in Turkey.

There are to be 3 large areas outlined for development, all on the very beautiful Tigem argricultural land .

Area one, has been allocated as 'Golf City'. This is for golf courses, holiday village, villas and boutique, hotels and shops.

Area two, has been allocated as ';Spa and resort area';. There is to be a Spa Health resort with capacity for 10,000 guests, sports centre, treatment centre, horse riding, hotel and shops. There will also be a very large man made lake.

Area three, has been allocated as 'Nature park'. This is for villas, sports area, health village, health centre and treatment centre, hotels, trekking area, natural sports area, camping and picnic areas.

Direct Winter Flights to Dalaman Turkey

Both Thomson and Onur Air are now offering direct flights to Dalaman airport in Turkey throughout the winter. They fly from both Manchester and Gatwick on Fridays and Mondays. Turkish Airlines also fly daily throughout the winter to any airport in Turkey, although you have to transfer at Istanbul Airport. Costs of these flights are currently coming in at £ 150 to £ 200 including airport taxes.

Antalya is the main city on the Mediterranean coast and one of the most popular vacation spots, with an attractive harbour setting and the picturesque old quarter of Kaleiçi enclosed within ancient Roman walls. Dominating the town is Antalyas symbol, the Yivli Minaret (Grooved Minaret) dating back to the 3rd century. The superb Archaeological Museum, housing one of the top collections in the country, is not to be missed.
